Default Ridiculous..

I frequent a site called Lake Link. You Southern boys might not know about it since they really don't cover the South...mostly upper Midwest and Northeast. They have tons of good information, but I believe they are either dumber than a bag of hammers, or just liars.

Check this picture out...

Nice bass, right? And it's from my home lake too...Patoka.

However, when you look at the page it comes from,

http://www.lake-link.com/lakes/lake....s&PhotoID=3277

you will see the claim that this fish weighs 10 lbs, 0 oz. and is 22 inches long. (I love how he included the "zero" ounces, as to lend credibility to this fraud; i.e, he used an accurate scale...De-Liars don't tell you ounces.)

Anyone ever seen a 10 lb. 22" bass? Even for a Florida strain bass, I would be skeptical. Anyways, these guys should be ashamed for publishing total crap like this. This guy must be second cousin to Roland Martin or something.

I think they add the tackle bag and the rod and reel including in their fish weighing process.

Maybe his hand is pushing the belly and the extra 6lbs away for the camera?

I'd guess 2.5 lbs, but with all the tubes of toothpaste the angler never used and probably stuffed in the bass's gullet, it could weigh 3 lbs LOL

I won't try to guess the actual weight, but if that fish is 10, then I know I have broken George Perry's record a couple of times.

103 bass in 8 hours....

That is one bass every 4.7 minutes...for eight hours straight. If this guy caught 103 bass in 8 hours, I can assure you it was with a net.

Not imposible but improbable, Iīm used to catch short fat fish, thatīs how they grow in my neck of the woods.

23" in length, 19" girth = 9.86 lbs on the scale

So reduce the length and add more girth for a very fat fish and yes itīs possible to have 10 pounder with mere 22 inches in length, improbable but not impossible.

As for the fish in the pic being 10 lbs, in a planet with three times the gravitational pull of planet earth oh yes, but not on this planet.

Exactly...that's why I said I would be skeptical, but stopped short of saying it wasn't possible.

With your equation, if you take an extra inch off that 9.86 lb fish, and keep the exact same body proportions, it becomes an 8.62 lb'er. A loss of a pound and a quarter, just by losing an inch in length.

You sure he isn't from the south, by the look of that fellow and the # of teeth in his mouth I could almost swear he is from around my neck of the woods, Alabama, or possibly Mississippi. *anyone from kentucky, or LA would have way fewer teeth, tenn, or tx he would have had to have a straw cowboy hat on and relpace the sweatshirt with a Duster.

25.5 inches ( no girth reported ) and 4 kilos in weight ( 8.8 lbs ), thinner fish but longer, caught yesterday, that fish during the prespawn would have topped 10+ lbs easily.

But the fish in the pic no way weights near 5 pounds, let alone 10.

I love LakeLink. I think it's a great site, but like you said some of the people are .. If you arent from WI then the site doesn't really benefit you because that's where everyone is from.

That fish is a BEAUTY, Raul. I think you're right about topping 10lbs in prespawn, too. What'd you catch her on?

I didnīt catch that fish, it was a pal named Arturo, he caught it with a Yozuri Rattle Vibe 5/8 oz fishing from the shore ( who says you canīt catch big feesh from shore ), guess any time to get lucky is a good time. .

I caught the 9.86 pounder from the shore too about 4-4 1/2 years ago with a Megabass Bait X Concept crank.

Never trust a man in a hot pink hoodie. It just ain't right. That is one dead giveaway that he is not from MS. It would have asphault marks, gravel embedded in it, and tears if he wore it around here hahahahaha.

That guy looks drunk to me, or maybe he swallowed a bunch of that tobacco juice that turned his teeth brown and got dizzy. There's got to be some kind of problem that caused him to misread his scales.

After looking at the website post and reading the comment below the pic I think he is saying that he caught two fish in an hours time, both being around five pounds. I don't believe the fish he is holding is 5 pounds, but I think thats what he is claiming. I am inclined to believe that the 10 pounds 0 oz. posted under his name is probably his personal best and not intended to reflect the size of the bass pictured. Regardless, he's wearing a bright pink sweatshirt which tells me he can't be a true bass fisherman. So I would doubt any claims on his part.
