Default Who'll win the Classic? Quick, pick a winner.

Edwin Evers is my pick.

Pick one, quickly before the weigh in today and we'll see who's right.

ANDERSON S.C., 11:15 a.m. * 2/22/08

The landscape changes quckly in the Bassmaster Classic. That elusive fourth fish that Rook was looking for has shown up in a big way.

It checks in at that 4- to- 5-pound class mark and he's now taken over the lead with an unofficial total of 19 pounds, 6 ounces.

The unofficial board looks like this:

Rook 19-6
Terry Scroggins 18-0
KVD 17-8
Cliff Pace 16-0
Alton Jones 15-6
Aaron Martens 15-2
Ike 13-12
Kotoraro Kiriyama 13-6
Bobby Lane 13-1
Kelly Jordon 12-14

A big reminder on all of this ... These weights are guesses from the observers in the boat with each angler. I'm sure they are asking, "How much do you think that one weighs?"

Got this off of espn page. I'm still going with KVD!!

Excellent heads up, MI!! I think ol' Kota Kiriyama's got a real shot this year. Those Japanese anglers are pretty good at figuring out patterns in tough water. 'Course, with the skills those guys have any of them boys can pull a hawg out of a beer can.

Deacon, I feel for ya, man. Those were good picks. Who'd of thought that Ish and Skeet wouldn't make the cut? It must be pretty tough out there for this Classic. Both those guys are powerhouses and, normally, pretty safe bets. Maybe Martins can pull it off for ya!

Tight lines

I think you've GOT to say KVD is the big favorite to win at this point. You let him get that kind of a start and it's pretty much him against the rest of the field. Agree? Disagree?? Dont' care???

Boog is sorta like a racial slur in the state of Alabama. It means an Auburn fan. I say it is sort of like a racial slur because if it were truly racial, it would imply that auburn fans really are people, just of a different race; but I tend to think of them as not, you know, actually being people in the traditional sense, but more like a breed of advanced ape. They are capable of using crude tools and living in communal surroundings (IE trailer parks), although they do not understand the proper use of toilet paper (they do buy tp, but I hear they still tend to wipe with their hands, they just use the tp for some sort of ceremonial application).

Looks like the Buckeye won for today! I see 'ole Skeeter ain't doin' too good either! Good guy, but hisself, Ike, and all those "hype" fisherman are a little too much for me....

I still have my hopes set on Evers, though...

Deacon- Looks like I was a little too quick with the cut! Congrats, man. Skeet and Martins are still in it! Next time I'll stop before the 64th beer before posting.
