Wasn't the biggest, but the best I ever caught. Took me me months to finally hook her. She showed very little interest the first spring, but I was able to try again in the fall.
I got her attention with minor flirting, but damn near spooked her when I started tossing BS.

Here's my biggest Spotted Bass, not sure of the weight (in my buddy's boat and his digital scale batteries were dead):

Here are a few more fish that ranked up there pretty good. My biggest went 12 back in 1981, we didn't have digital back then and the picture went up with my parents house fire in 1992.

Well it ain't a bass, but I caught it on a 1/4 oz Bitsy Jig with a Zoom Swimming Chunk on it, with a 7' 2" Shimano Crucial Drop Shot Rod and Shimano Symmetre 2500 spooled with 20 Power Pro and 10 # Seaguar Carbon Pro leader. That fish made a believer out of me for those two line combos.

Here are some more bass:

The first picture was 6 lbs even and the last picture was7 lb 8 oz. The second bass was 6 lbs also and the third was 8 lbs 5 oz. I have caught many of up to 9 lbs, 14 oz (during a tournament on Lake Aquilla near Hillsboro, Tx. I have no idea what happened to the picture of that fish).

Come on up! May and early June out on Saint Clair can be crazy. I haven't been out there too many times like some guys but it's not hard to find them that time of year.

And I guarantee that fish lost 1.08 pounds in the livewell. It sure looked like a 5, at least 4 1/2 when he got it, I wish we would have checked it on another scale.

My guess on that spot was around the 6 pound mark. The lake record for Allatoona is 7 and some change. I didn't know it at the time I caught the fish. Now that my rig is back up and running, I have all my gear back in close proximity. I know my batteries are good for sure!

That's a big toothy critter! I always thought it would be fun to get a big one mounted to scare children that visit my house.
nice bass too!

What lure did you catch that musky on? Did you use a standard bass outfit? Were you specifically targeting muskies? Inquring minds want to know . . .

It's not a musky, its a northern pike.

Caught it on a home made chartreuse 3/8 oz spinnerbait (chart skirt & main colorado blade, w/ a gold smaller willow blade).

The musky's I got this year were all on grubs.

nice pics everyone, hope to post some more next year. when i catch real big ones, lol.
