14 lb test XT but will bump up to 17lb when river fishing around rocks and wood. Toothy critters are also considered when upgrading.

i use 16 / 65 sufix braid.the diameter helps keep the bait up.i love no stretch.you just feel everything and you know when the fishes mouth shuts on the bait.when you fell that you set the hook.i never lose fish and always get a good hookset this way.

i use 17 pound test for spinner baits and it works fine.

I use 50lb powerpro braid. Plenty of weeds for bass to go in when i catch them and i need to able to get them out and that takes some heavy duty line. Also i love the no stretch.

No, it's the same as I use. You gotta remember the vegetation here is very, very thick. Also 50lb Powerpro has the same diameter as 12 lb mono. It also alows you to feel every turn of the blades
