Default Lure Covers

Since we all have experienced treble hook baits grabbing everything in sight-other rods, tackle bags, boat carpet, the occasional curious dog, cuffing your pant legs together(not me, but it wouldn't surprise me if it happened), exposed flesh-you get the idea. Anyway, I stumbled on this a couple of years ago, made some and have been using them ever since, and they work like a charm!

I got material light enough to write on them what the bait is-lipless, shallow, deep, DD-22, topwater, etc. Now I just need to look at the wrap to know what the bait is without unwrapping each one. Simple solution to a common problem.

Nice post reb, thanks for the tip. Much cheaper than buying hook covers. It's amazing what people think of.

Nice one Reb. I wish you would have posted this last year, I went out and bought 5 or 6 covers from BPS.

Thanks for the tip. I'm fond of saying that my crankbaits will hook and hold anything but a bass including, like you say, my clothes, my friends clothes, car seat, cat, dog, hats, you name it.

I bought a couple a while again and then lost them running down the lake. $5 a pop gone.

luretamer

a little more pricey bot works great none the less. If they get out of shape for any reason hot water and you can spring em back if you ever need to (not that i have had to)
