Well, I didn't get a ton of fishing stuff, but I did get a BPS Extreme rod/reel and with some of my money I ordered an All-Star rod to go with my Rick Clunn reel. I usually get more fishing gear around my birthday because it is in the spring. Although right not it feels like spring in Iowa...62 when the normal hight is 29!!!
CAjun congrats!

my best present is along the lines of yours

well i dont know if i've said it or not on the board but my wife is finally pregnant after nearly 4 years of trying! on dec. 22 we got a call from the obgyn's office saying that my wife tested positive as a high risk factor to have a down syndrome child. of course my wife took the news horribly.

to let you know a normal 26 year old white healthy woman has a 1 in 980 chance to have a down syndrom child my wife came back at 1 in 20 chance.

after talking with her and calming her down the obgyn's office called back to schedule a high detail ultra sound and a meeting with a gyneticist.

well after the ultra sound it appears the child is not going to be at risk for down(you can not be 100% sure with out dna, blood test, etc.)

and it's gonna be a little girl!!!

other than that i got some cool stuff, a banjo guitar(looks like and sounds like a banjo plays like a guitar)

a 6'6" MH one piece rod,

tons of lures and baits

rapala scale and fishing tool/pliers

a lionel trolley with bumpers for my christmas village and train set

a mean joe greene jersey!
Congrats, that is a special gift 8)

pretjah,I have 2 girls of my own.One is 10 going on 15 and the other is 8 going on 13.The joy a child brings is unreal....go out and by the CD by Gary Allan with the song "tough little boy's".Memorize the words and get back to me in 3-5 years and tell me if that song is not hitting the nail on the head......

P.S. The "mean" Joe Green jersey is cool too.

Cajun great for both of you. Really only got clothes. Inlaws still trying to get me out of camo and T shirts. Did take my family to disney. The joy of watching my 9 year old and for the first time my 18 mo old was all that I needed for x-mas.

Congratulations to you and your wife Pretjah.

Babies are proof that God hasn't given up on us yet.
