Default Ft.Lauderale bass

I will be staying at a hotel/golf complex 3rd week of Feb for a conference. It is surrounded by ponds and canals. I am told by the staff it has largemouth and in some seasons peacock bass. My ? Is what tackle should I bring? I will be limited to 2 rods and some lures, plastics, etc.. Any advice would be welcome.

Just take your set up that you are comfortable with throwing senkos and plastics. The temp might be nice enough to even through a top water bait.

I would have some senkos, worms, frogs. I was just in Orland for New Year's and the grass and vegetation was still green around the lakes and ponds. Good luck to you.

Take topwater plugs too. The peacocks won't hit worms much. You might also run into a bullseye snakehead or 37 too. Bass gear will work for them.
