Try a Palomar-very easy to tie and very strong:

i would suggest a....(ready for this)....knot : ;D what in the world were you trying if you couldnt get it to stay on??? even a bassic double knot will work (tho not recommended)

i use palomor knots...and with mono a clinch knot (is that cinch or clinch?)

Does anyone know the trick to trying a polomar knot with the tag end facing the rear towards the hook? That way it does'nt pick up weeds? I was shown by a pro at the Bass-A-Rama last year , now I have forgot. I think my cheese is sliping off my cracker. I'd forget my fishing poles if I did'nt carry them in my truck.

if you use soft plastics, just slide the plastic over the knot.....if its anything else, most like grass will get stuck on it anyways......but im not sure about the trick....if you cut it fairly short, and your line isnt stiff, wouldnt the grass just slide off? but if its not softplastics then i think grass will be getting caught on it anyway(i.e.- crankbaits-treble hook, spinnerbaits- blades and hook, jigs-weedgaurd and jig head, top waters- trebles, and water ever else is out there.............lol 8)

burn,

Next time, in promulgating your esoteric cogitations, or articulating your superficial sentimentalities and amicable, philosophical or psychological observations, beware of platitudinous ponderosity. Let your conversational communications possess a clarified conciseness, a compacted comprehensibleness, coalescent consistency, and a concatenated cogency. Eschew all conglomerations of flatulent garrulity, jejune babblement, and asinine affectations.

Let your extemporaneous descantings and unpremeditated expatiations have intelligibility and veracious vivacity, without rodomontade or thrasonical bombast. Sedulously avoid all polysyllabic profundity, pompous prolixity, psittaceous vacuity ventriloquial verbosity, and vaniloquent vapidity. Shun double-entendres, prurient jocosity, and pestiferous profanity, obscurant or apparent!!

** ** In other words, talk plainly, briefly, naturally, sensibly, truthfully, purely. Keep from slang; don't put on airs; say what you mean; mean what you say. And, don't use big words!"
