The minus -1 is an awsome shallow bait, cranking it slow or fast. I'm not a crankin' man,but the -1 works.

The Manns -1 work great. Maybe not this time of year but during the spring you can't go wrong with it.

I am having great luck with Baby-1. In the last 32 hours, I have caught 10 on it, and 2 friends caught 2 each on it. So 14 bass have been caught on it so far, and I only owned it since Friday Morn.

any short billed crankbait will probably do in shallow water, I like the rapapla that has a bill the comes down 90 degree's and then just angles down for maybe a total of 1/4 inch.
Its natural shad color looks great, it only dives less than one foot

If you aim to try something new and interesting a while back I was trolling for large trout with a frog colored flatfish and I hooked into a pretty nice bass... I think that the flatfish are under 4 bucks but they aren't exactly crankbaits. I have never bank fished one for bass though so I couldn't tell you if that would work or not.

Cotton Cordell makes some good ones. So does Heddon. $2.97 at Wal-Mart here before tax.

try the strike king 4S it's got a big body and a wide wobble but only dives 1-4 feet. i think the color name is firetiger but i'm not sure it has a heavy glitter coat and looks like a perch color. i think it's 3.49

I love fishing the original Rapala floater. I think its the perfect size at 3" and canbe fished topwater like a plug or with a steady retrieve. Its by far my most productive crankbait I have ever fished, and you gotta figure that since Rapala really hasnt changed the design since 1936, its probably proven top be a good lure.
