Thanks. My dad and I were showing his friend's kid some things about fishing. We told him how this rock pile that dropped off looked good. I caught two fish, including that nice one off it.

That's a beauty! Looks like she may get heavier before the spawn.

Some of the fish down here are spawning. Both Largemouth and Peacock. The warmer weather this year, I guess. I couldn't see the fish, but two flips in the same area produced that fish and a smaller one, so it may have been spawning.

Nice fish guys and WTG.

I'm gonna go through all of the ones I haven't measured and update the leader board.

Capt. Jim I know its not specified in the rules but I cannot allow fish caught by your charter to count. PM me if you have any questions or concerns on this.

I mentioned I only drove the boat that day to let you guys know I in fact did not catch any of those. That way they would not count.

The only fish I weigh in are the ones I personally catch.

No Problem.

I caught 13 fish total today. They were all largemouths and all on worms.
6 on senkos
a few on 7.5 inch culprits - dark blue or red shad
I ripped off a piece of a 7.5 inch culprit to make it about 6 inches and caught the rest on that, including my two biggest fish of the day. They liked the smaller worm.

I caught 8 at the first spot. I changed my line, and for the first time used cajun red cast. I caught 5 on senkos between 1 and 1 1/2 pounds while testing it out in the canal behind my house.

2 pounds 1 ounce

2 pounds 2 ounces

Slow day of fishing today. There was an algae bloom at my favorite local lake. It must have happened quickly. I was there six days ago, and I didn't see anything. Now it is on both sides of the lake- more on one side than the other though.
3 fish-all peacocks
1 on zara spook
1 on rapala shad rap
1 on fly

I saw some today in my backyard. What do you guys catch them on? We use bread in my neighborhood. I want to get one on fly, but they are pretty smart.

I caught this one on spinnerbait foul hooked. Some people use craw patterns, let them sit on the bottom and slowely move them so it picks up silt, then the carp " take it" i'd like to see that happen lol.

Get a couple pieces of bread. Break one piece up and let the medium size pieces float on the surface. Put one on and let it float in the middle. The carp will come up, and open their mouth above the water and eat it. I only do this when I know their is carp around. It takes some patience. If you cast at them, they will spook. You have to wait for them to come to you, and let them take the bait if the eat. If you set to early, you will probably miss the fish. PM me if you have any questions, or if you are goung to try this method of carp fishing.

I caught 4 fish today.
1 peacock on shad rap
3 largemouth on senkos

My friend and I put in my boat today to test out my depth finder. I got the peacock before we put the boat in. All of my bass were about 1 1/2 pounds.

I saw this fish on my depth finder as I was going by slowly. I took a cast and...

My friend got this bass on a tree because of the new depth finder.

Before the day was over we landed this double header near the boat ramp. I called my mom to drive over for the picture, and we kept the fish in the net for a few minutes.

Default Friday afternoon Scouting, 30 bass!

Went out to look for a good spot to fish some large shiners my son caught for our saturday trip. I worked the drop offs and got a boatload of dinks. . Trolled the deeper water, (12-18), and found some larger. Tried slow drifting small swim baits, and started scoring nicer fish. Biggest today was 3 lbs. Hopefully tomorrow, I'll be able to post some bigger fish!
