Default Strike King series 5 & 6 vs.5xd,6xd

HI Guys & gals, can someone please tell me what the diff. is between the series 5 & 6 and the 5XD and 6XD baits.. I saw the packaging today and the depth seemed to be shallower on the regular 5 & 6 vs. the XD counterparts... the baits looked the same to me?? Please advise. Thanks, Sam

The XD's have a different bill and are weighted different, they dive a few extra feet.

Like Tony said, the bills are roughly the same length, it is just up turned on the end to make it dig a little deeper. I have observed that the Series 5 will go about 9-10 feet, and the Series 6 will go about 15-16 feet. The 5XD will hit 14-15 feet, and the 6XD will go to about 20. Some pros swear they can get the 6XD down to 22-23 feet on lighter fluorocarbon. My tests were done on 16lb. Sunline Super Natural Mono. (diameter of most 12 lb. monos) Another great small crankbait to check out is the 3XD. Same body as the regular three, but I have got it to hit 10' + water. Awesome little baits.

Thanks for the tips guys.. I have some series 5's but not the XD's
We've been catching suspended bass on them(series 5)and Poes 300 series and I've been catching deep fish on the Norman DD 22's once they stopped hitting 12" worms in 17'-20' of water..
I will have to get a couple of 5 and 6XD's and give them a try.. My son has a whole box of 1.5 and 2.5's and whacks the crap outta them when they're shallow.
