Default bait caster for my new rod

okay so i asked this question before about my rod and reel. somebody told me to get the st. croix 6'6" MH premier i took your advice and got one ordered it yesterday. now i need a reel i am planning on using spinner baits and maybe cranks (i do tourneys with 6 rod max) so i need a good bait caster for spinner baits like under 200

Scott, I have a couple of the Premier rods and enjoy fishing them. MH power is a good all around rod, can you please tell us what action the rod is, as in Moderate, Fast, Xtra Fast.

Typically you would want a little differnt action for a spinnerbait rod than you would a crankbait rod. Not saying that it will not function, because we all know it will. But if you are tournament fishing you may lose fish unnecessarily by fishing crankbaits on a rod with too stiff of an action and visa versa you may not have enough action to drive a thick single hook home with a rod that is too soft.
