That's the bad thing about the Big O. Some guys will flat out not catch fish there. There are a bunch of guys who have had success on Okeechobee but they have also had huge failures. It seems like more than on any other lake, if you find fish during the tournament, you will do really well, if you don't, you will fail miserably. Obviously that goes for any tournament but a guy can win an event on the O one week and finish dead last the next. It makes it really hard to pick.

There's probably one guy IMO that's a lock for a top 5 finish on Okeechobee. Going to be post spawn conditions so the flippin bite won't be on as good. Look for this one to be won on a small swimbait, skinny dipper/ big EZ, etc. And some topwater mixed in as well.

Mallen, quit copying my roster....the only difference in our picks is our Slot A guy. The fact that I apparently think a lot like you kinda disturbs me....

Ouch, that was brutal. Some huge weights though, on pace for over 100 lbs after day 1.

I actually debated on Ish, but only for a second. Hindsight is 20/20.....
My guys are spread from 30th to 49th. Maybe they've all figured out what NOT to do, and will make a strong comeback tomorrow....

It freaking pisses me off every time I see his name on the leaderboard. I hope the other anglers are making him feel like crap.

That guy is garbage! He is the worst possible thing that could ever happen to bass tournaments, and shame on B.A.S.S. for not banning him for life.

Much better day! I had a long talk with my guys last night and they stepped it up and caught some fish.

I think Ish knows something that nobody else does, and he's definitely making it count.
Some of my guys did better today, but two of them are crashing and burning. Alton went from 38th to 69th, and Jamie Horton was 30th, now 57th. But my other 3 guys moved up 31, 17, and 16 places respectively. So I'm a little better off than I was....

Congratulations to Ish Monroe, winner of the Power Pole Slam on Okeechobee! He had 30-15 today and finished with 108-5, over 12lbs ahead of 2nd place Chris Lane.

Next up, Bull Shoals in Arkansas. April 19-22

I'm pretty sure that shows the percentage of people who have picked that person.

That is exactly what it means.

Aww man, that totally sucks. Didn't that happen to you last year too? It looks like a few others forgot to make theirs too.

Yep, I missed one week last year, too. I thought this year that if you don't pick anybody, the system just keeps the people you'd selected for the previous tournament, so at least you won't zero on every slot. Maybe not, though.....

After every 2 events, everything resets. If you had forgotten last time or next time, you would have been ok.

Congratulations Brandon Palaniuk, winner of the Trokar Quest on Bull Shoals! He had an awesome tournament, winning by almost 12 lbs. That's after missing part of Friday with a trip to the ER to have a hook removed from his finger. I'm really happy for him, this is his first Elite win after a tough Classic and a bad start to the season. He seems like a really good dude and a really good fisherman. Up next, Douglas Lake TN.

I am really happy for Brandon. He seems like a class act and makes me feel really good about the future of the sport.
