Turkeys????
This morning my oldest daughter woke up to a screaming child in the front yard. Upon inspection from hungover eyes she saw this in our front yard..
Later a total of 12 showed up for a parade. Turkeys, deer, red fox and now peacocks. Must have been good drink the night before. Capt Mike

I once setup on a turkey gobblin across a pasture. After callin for a few minutes, i saw something slipping up the fence row. I pushed the safety off, shakin' with nerves. Suddenly, out stepped a peacock...mind you i'm about a mile from the nearest house! As is turns out, an elder lady used to raise them and just let them run free, so i guess we got wild peacocks here in south arkansas.

They will tear up the shingles on your roof in no time. They look cool, but are more of a nuisance than anything.

If somebody doesn't own 'em, they're exotics, and you can shoot as many as you want, whenever you want. (That's how it works round here anyway....)

Capt - You ever see the albino peahen up in Bryan Cove??? My buddy got a picture of it two or three years ago. It was walking along the shoreline pecking at the grass that was left on shore with the high tide. I figured it belonged to the people who live in the house there.

we got some of those bags of crap called birds on our land in grass valley california. I hate those birds with a passion. They screech like dying cats at 5:30 am right next to my window, leave tirds the size of a chiwawas EVERYWHERE, and they get on your car and leave scratches all over it with there big ol claws. The only way to deal with those birds is a 12 gauge or a .306 rifle.

No but have you seen that young girl that lays out nude just above Broad Creek. ?? I was fishing with clients and she stood up naked as a jail bird and waved to us. Next thing I know she is swimming out to the boat. She gets up to the boat and hangs on the side and asks if she can go for ride with us. Beer breath and drunking eyes but still cute. I used the trolling motor to take her back to shore. She was too young and had to be released.. 16 will get you 20. Capt Mike

North point docks or main river??? I've fished them but never ran into her. No wonder I've heard so much about Broad Creek the last couple years!!!
That would be hysterical if she did that when the FLW or BASS has a tournament on the river. Better yet on the final day. Who fished that area last year??? Club had a mid-week tournament on the river yesterday. Charlie had a 15lb bag fishing grass beds and laydowns. I ran around the Mt. Vernon section of the river. Saw my first Snakehead. It sucked and spit my partners senko in Piscataway creek. |

I'm planning on making that trip but I'll have a game that Friday night so I won't get there until Sat. I'll get directions from you later. How many does your place sleep? The last check only had 6 or so people planning on attending. Charlie probably told you 15-20
Snakehead was in Pomonkey creek not Piscataway. |

Glad it was Pomonkey and not Piscataway. Wait till they turn the corner at Mattawomen. Talk about some great summer topwater with three foot snakeheads.. I will change the name of my charter company to MONGOOSE CHARTERS..

Fire up the grill....here we come!!!! Where does the buffet line begin??
I thought they found one or two snakes in Piscataway already. How did you do on Greenway flats before you decided to go after the salty critters? I fished a couple areas the other day and only picked up one short fish. Saw a lot of carp, gar, and gold fish but no bass. |
