this summer only around 5lbs is my biggest but there is no season for bass in CT so as long as there is no ice on the water I'll be fishing and being stranded on the shore as the temps cool down a bit the bigger fish will come in a bit shallower .

couple of 6 #ers one smallie and one largemouth. after never having caught a bass over 20", i have caught 4 of them this year and a couple just shy. we dont usually fish alot of lakes that are common for huge bass, but this year i seemed to have lucked out and found a couple. now if i start tourney fishing next year, my biggest will be 2 1/2, lol.

Sadly, I didn't break the 2# mark. My biggest was 1 lb 15 oz.

Just started fishing 2 months ago but managed to pull a couple of 3.3/3.5#ers out of a small pond on some land my mom just bought. It's a 1/4 acre pond in southern lousiana and i've been told thats a respectable number around here. However i've seen a couple monsters jump out there as well as follow my lure till they could see me. Damn spring fed CLEAR water.

Edit. Also cought a 2.6# small mouth out there, loads of life in that pond.

Most recent.

23.5lbs.

You never said it had to be bass! it was a Musky that was 42" long, 22" girth, and around 23-24lbs. As for bass, about 2lbs.

I didn't fish my big bass factory much this year. Spent more time tournament fishing. My best this year is only 5 1/2 lbs.

He reported the length of the fish to be 24 5/8 and 17 girth, thereby taking it over the 8 lb mark.

I put the wrong measurement in another post. I have fat fingers.....I put in 21 inches instead of 24. Sorry for the confusion Mississippi.

Yeah it was flooping around and had the Bass Oreno still stuck in it. I had a measuring tape and it would not hold still. So I put it on my bag for reference and snapped some quick pics and let her swim away. I was worried as the bottom treble was in the gill plates but she sat stunned for a moment and then flipped away. I immediatly caught a 9 inch bass afterwards and realized it was back to reality.
Thanks

My biggest bass is a 8.85 pounder... caught in a local reservoir early this summer. I caught her on a 5" Yum Dinger in Junebug rigged on a 3/0 EWG hook weightless. Here she is...

I lied and didn't mean to. It was not a small mouth I caught it was a crappie. I just learned the difference.
