Default finnally figured out my wiring

Some of you guys know about my big electric outboard motor. Â*well, i was running it with a simple on and off switch but it really makes a jerk we you turn it on. Â*last night when i was almost asleep i figure out how to wire up the speed controller. Â*its just a speed controller off an ezgo golf cart but i had to get rid of several other things in the wiring diagram. Â*i was so darn happy when it worked. Â*now i have several diff. speeds to move around in the boat launch area. Â* i had to use my bow mount motor to come in to the launch area or to pass aboat that isn't moving. it was a real pain in the a$$

I finnaly have my boat set up perfectly how i want it. Â*now i can focus on fishing only. Â* i want to get out sunday to test everything and do alittle fishing. Â*

its just really weird how the idea all of a sudden came to me. Â* ???

Great. Now you can drive it onto the trailer. Next you'll need to get the power trim working. <lol>

well my test trip too the lake was a good one. everything worked. I have to replace one wire with a heavier piece. its getting alittle hot. (hot enough to make the electrical tape smoke a bit)the thicker wire should completely solve that. and i have to put a brace on the controller. i will easily be able to drive right on the trailer.

it was kinda cold to fish today but we did for an hour. no hits but it felt good to be out. water temp was 43 and the air temp was 45 and windy. not my favorite kind of day but o well. spring is comming

zooker,
its a long story. Its a golf cart speed controller that i had to wire up on my golf cart outboard (ezgo/mercury) . I figured everything out now. i tested it today and it ran great. there was about 1 foot waves out there today and it never slowed it down. it pushes my boat at around 8-10 mph. best investment i ever made. My boat is king of the electric motor lakes ;D
