Default frog fever

Its a fever Zooker must be fuelin'. I have had more fun fishing the slop. Zooker, you got to come home for Lamoka. They didn't kill the weeds off, people partioned it and won seeing it was going to cost the taxpayers $440,000.00 to treat the lake.Frogs are good now, until its really gets hot so the jig will work better. Here are some pictures of the weed/liilypad infested lake. The water is surprisingly deeper than I would have guessed. Some spots are 4 feet deep back in the slop. P N J

where's the slop? thats not even sloppy enough for a rat to walk on. gotta come down to florida and get into some real sloppy slopp. thats crankbait water in the pics, lol. with as hot as it gets and as much as the water level fluctuates makes it easy for it to grow so dang thick down here.

But grasshopper you fail to see the beauty in frog fishing. The hotter it gets the better it gets.

Must be nice! I don't have any lakes that ever remotely resemble that-most of the lakes I fish are what most folks would consider a highland lake-clear, deep, and very little cover, and no weed cover except in one about 75 miles south. I'd love to fish a lake that looks like that!

True, JB-in the lake south of here that is full of hydrilla it can really clog up a TM-that's why I got a Kipawa prop. I've had to clean the shaft, but never the prop.

PnJ, the same goes on this end. Actually, I will be up in that neck of the woods tomorrow-well, more in Bassintom's neck of the woods-I have a meeting in Princeton but will have no time to do anything else but this meeting .

Share some of your secrets Zooker, I can't get any strikes using a Scum Frog. Or are you using a Horny toad type lure?

We have a few lakes with hydrilla in them but no pads. I've often yearned to fish an area with lilly pads.

You said it man. Never thought these things would take off like they did but I gotta hand it to the bait companys. They got a real WINNER here. A buzzbait, crankbait and topwater all rolled up in one that you can throw ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunely I live in the Kansas City, MO area so I don't see much water like that with vegetation on it, however that has not really stopped me from fishing frogs anyway. One little trick I found that has really helped me with not missing as many is I now use a 5/0 straight shank weedless worm hook. I run the shaft of the hook through the groove on this frog, and I have good luck with hook ups this way.
