all of the following are thrown on 12 pound mono..

bandit 1100

this is a bandit 100

this is one of the heaviest crankbaits i chunk.. it is a 5/8 oz lucky craft.. i throw it on 8 pound test mono..

are they thrown on the same casting rod? no.. i have 5 differant crankin rods-not counting a jerkbait rod- the trick with light baits such as these- the 1100 actually weighs about 1/10 oz- is reel settings and a 7 foot m action rod. do i get long distance not really-it aint a dt6- but finesse cranks like these are ment to sneak up and bush wack bass.. i do have a large collection of 1/8oz speed traps and lil money makers-a bandit 1000 knock off..

Falcon or Croix. What model is the Croix? Seems cheap at only $100...

Hey man just cause it's not $200 doesn't mean it's not a great rod! The Premier is an AWESOME rod for the price!

I know, I have one. It is a Premier Crankbait Series, 7', MH, $120.00. This is a great rod if you ever change your mind!

Keep in mind St. Croix also make 'glass series Crankin' Sticks...

LL, if I was going to get a baitcasting crankin' stick, I'd invest in a G. Loomis.

The only G. Loomis rod I've ver used was a cusom rod my dad made on a Loomis blank. Wasn't for bass fish either. I would really like to own a Loomis, but they are a bit pricey.

Then go for it, man! Loomis' are great rods for the price. That's all we used up in Alaska and you couldn't beat them. I couldn't really feel the difference between my Croix's and them though. Seriously...

You may also want to check out the new Fenwick Elite-Tech's. They are technique-specific rods that just came off the line. Never owned one, but I've heard rave reviews!

The thing about the Elite-Tech and the Loomis rods is they are way out of my price range, like I said, I'd like ot keep it under $130. I think Iw ill go the the Falcon LowRider.

Thanks again for all the help guys.
