Default spook tip

Cut a notch in the line eye to make the line stay in place at the bottom of the eye so it gets a better walking action.

That will cut your line faster than you can believe, tie it on to the lure the way it came out of the box

Default Spooky spook advise

Fishie,I don't think so. I have drilled the tail section where the ball bearing is glued in place and knocked it loose so it rattled, that was before they came out with the super spooks model that are built that way.P N J

You make a smooth notch for your line to lie in. I got the tip from somewhere and Mike Ike said this is what he does to his spooks so the line doesn't move up on the line tie impeding the action.

Better to tie a double clinch.

guess it would boil down to what you use to cut the notch. Being that you're working with metal, chances are there will be jagged edges (invisible to the eye) in that notch that your line is riding on, add the weight of a big fish and those jagged edges could easily cut your line. like I said, all comes down to what you use to cut your notch. Does sound like a good idea otherwise.

To get really good walking the dog action, tie either a loop knot or a Rapala knot, with very small loop. It will improve the action. If your lure returns with the line tangled in the hooks, then go alittle smaller with your knot.

I just add a split ring. Doesn't effect the action and gives it more freedom of movement.
