Pro-Staff wanted
I've extended my search for reps into a search for a pro-staff for a new rod company. If anyone is interested send me a private message and I can give you a few details. You can make a commission off each sale you make to the public, store, and you get a discount on all of your rods.

it would be very hard to convince some one to buy a 200 dollar fishing rod

The rods aren't $200 to the pro staff. The pro staff gets all of there rods at a 30% discount and gains a sales commission off each rod that they sell so the money you put into the rods can be made back and you can profit. The advantage to the commission is that the rods aren't in many stores yet so you can easily pitch the rods after they are in the hands of a customer. After time and the business grows then the cost of rods will drop to the pro staff. In a rod company you would be very lucky to find a sponsor to give you free fishing rods. Only a handful of fishermen receive free rods from companies and hardly any companies offer a commission on sales generated by you.

The company is ESOX fishing rods.. I am also with them. So I can answer your questions too.. These rods are priced right for their quality.. I was sceptical at first until I ordered 3.. I love them.. they are so sensitive and light weight.. I plan to eventually change all my rods to ESOX when the money is available..

Gary Morehead is the owner of Esox Rods and was past owner of Heddon Lures. Someone gave him my name and he wanted me to pro staff his line. He kept calling to the point he wouldn't stop calling and Emailing me.At first it was 20% off all rods, then it was "I'll send you a couple and bill you if you keep them" Then "I'll give you one and we'll go from there"
I am in no way saying he produces a junk rod, I will say all his blanks are made overseas and are put together here. His cost can be no more than $70.00 to make a rod. So as a prostaffer 20% off is a losey deal. Besides that how many companys do you know that you have to sell their products out of you car or boat? As a pro staffer your supose to represent their company not make sales. As a Staffer you help sell but not make sales. From what I can see he wants to cut out the middle man for more profits. I pro staff for a rod maker, one of only five rod makers in the USA that still manafactures it's own blanks here. Which means their costs are higher to make a fishing rod and I get 6 free rods yearly and 55% off of retail on any more that I need. The way he has it set up it's a pyramid sales company the more people you got making sales under you the more you make, it's not a true pro staff position within a company. |
