Zook, you're posting. Were you not one of the hundreds of thousands left without power?

Man, stick with Quantum. I can attest to that.
But the new Quantums are just too fast for "me". Man, that 7:1 retrieve is more than I really need. I don't think that they look as good as the 2005 models, even if the paint does chip.

I used to have a Diawa very similiar to that clunns reel, perfect for a smaller profile reel that fits in your hand..
I don't know about the rest of you anglers , But hour after hour I tend to hold the reel in one hand and alternate on holding onto the cork handle.. It kinda keeps my hand from cramping , hour after hour holding on to the cork, it kind of stretches the hand muscles for a few minute...I don't recommend it tho, it reduces your reaction time to set the hook, I guess its habit I acquired over the years. I started out with the round red abu garcia reels but soon discover (for me) the tear dropped baitcast shape and have stuck with it for about 15 years now. |

It seems that the BPS stores have the same price on all there products. What you pay in Springfield you will also pay in Charlotte.

Zooker, I went back today and the they are left handed reels. Why is the price cheaper on a left handed reel ? The right handed are alot more money for the same reel just like you said they were.I am left handed , had to switch to right handed reels to get a decent quality reel back when I started fishing, there were very few left handed reels made back then.I might have to switch back over to left hand reels if the prices are going to be that different.
