is this my fuel pump?
good day all,
I wanted to know if anyone can tell me if this is my fuel pump on my Merc 1500 outboard? if so, where would the filter be? I am attaching two pics one of the right side of the motor as you look from behind the boat... what I think is the fuel filter is in the "gray" circle. the second picture is a close up... Thanks, Brook |

I'm pretty sure thats the fuel pump. I'm not too familar with that year of Merc so I dont want to tell you wrong, but I'm 99% on this.

You're really talking to someone who doesnt know, but I think your fuel pump diaphram is right there - not a filter. I'm not positive it even has a filter.

Micro filter under tha piece your talkin' bout. Thats tha "IN" side of tha pump. Be careful with tha gasket, maybe O ring, under it.
Take tha fuel lines off first. Makes it lots easier ta work with tha pump.............T |
