Default Humminbird 998c SI

Hey guys,

I am getting ready to sell my Humminbird 998c SI. It was purchased by me brand new Sept, 2011. It works great and is in excellent brand new condition. It also has the latest software update version 6.180.

I am selling it to get an 1158c DI instead for the bow. I have an 1198c SI at the console and the larger screen is much easier on my eyes especially while standing. I also have realized that I don't ever use the Side Imaging up front.

Whoever purchases the 998c SI will be getting the combo, everything you need just as new. I will order the 1158c DI and the only difference in the units & hardware is the mounting bracket, monitor & the transducer, everything eise will be all new hardware in the box and ready to be installed on your boat. I also have a printed owners manual for "on the boat" handiness.

I am asking $1500.00 (money order or paypal gift) or (regular paypal plus 4%) shipped to your door and it sells new for 1999.99 @ Bass Pro.

If anyone is interested please let me know or if you have any questions.

Thanks.

That would be making someone a great deal on a great unit. I just upgraded to three 1198's and have not been on the water yet. Truth is I pick the boat up Thursday. It is a five hour drive home and I am tempted to stop on the way just to get it in the water and give it a try. The dealer installer has been so much help. I had 998c's and they are really really good units. I only upgraded because of this darn monkey issue...

Thanks vegas. Yea I love the units. Its a learning curve but once you understand, you can find fish! I thought about just getting another 1198 but I just don't use the SI up front.

Just out of curiosity, I understand 2 but why or should I say in what way are you using 3 units?

Two on dash. One to follow charting while side view misc off to the side. Just more information. Thing is, if your going to seriously compete you need it because that is what everyone else has. Brent Ehrler and Edwin Evers are the masters of the electronics.

I should have listened to JRob and tucked it in the boat deal when I bought it. I wish I had the spare change for it.

Does it have the 8000 w transducer or is it the normal 1000 w dual beam.
It is a nice wide screen sonar unit, but currently 1830 from bird. The warranty by the way is not transferable. If it were me id post some screen pics, might generate some interest.Platnum?

It has the standard transducer. Actually that is incorrect. The 1839.99 is the CHO model which comes without the transducer then the Combo model which includes the standard transducer is 1999.99.

Yea I thought about posting pics but since everyone knows what they look like I thought it unnecessary. I only have 1 pic as of right now from back when I installed it on the bow for what its worth. I can take more pics if anyone really needs them.

I have a Hot Maps Platinum SD card but it does not come with one.

Great hope it goes thru as for being correct nothing on the bird site seldom is page 1 they give to you on page 2 or more details they take it back, pays to read it all.
That said I like my birds of a different feather.

I have the same set as Vegas and I can say it is a most valuable set up and would not run without it. If the person buying your unit has never had one they will not believe what they have been driving over for years!
