Default How to rig and fish a yum dinger

I just picked up some yum dinger soft baits and have been wondering how to rig them. I see alot of people rig them wacky style but the lakes that I fish can be very weedy so Im not sure if that is the best way, or carolina rig but to me they seem too thick and wont have much movement like the usual worms I use with lots of movement. Thanks for the help.

Rig them Texposed and fish them by letting them sink without imparting extra action, just like you would a Senko. Use an extra-wide-gap hook, say 3/0 for the 4" and 4/0 for the 5". Some people use the hook slot, others don't and rig them with the hook about 90-degrees from the slot.

Yum Dingers are one of the many Senko knockoffs that work well.

A neat little trick with c-rigging them is to use a Mojo Weight for the c-rig weight. It's a barrel style weight and gets through the vegetation easier. Then t-rig the Dinger/Senko/Stick Bait and slowly drag it through the weeds, "DON'T JERK IT". Use slow steady rod sweeps. I learned this technique from Art Ferguson who is a tourney pro, while he guided us on a fishing trip in Florida on the Big O. I also use this with lizards in the weeds too rotfl. Also if you want a version of the Wacky Rig that is a little better on the weeds, you can rig the bait t-rig style, however just put the eye of the hook in the middle of the worm. One other thing that does help, is to by some weedless hooks, the type with a little wire, and wacky rig it with those.
