I'm still waiting until late November, in hopes of a Black Friday deal.
Me too, that may be the deciding factor. I am looking at Cabin #14 at this time, it only has two beds so it'll probably be me and my father-in-law - I AM SLEEPING IN A (real) BED NEXT YEAR (if I show, that is). Doc will NOT be accompaning me on another trip to Dale.

That first pic of Doc holding that nice smally caused me to take a double take. LOL That camera attached to his hat looked like a scale at first glance. haha

Ron, at the moment, that doesn't sound like much fun at all.. Will you have enough time to heal up before the Dale event?

If he gets it done before the end of January, he should be ok. Donald should chime in on that, he healed a lot faster than I did with either of mine. The procedure has been changed somewhat, but I think Don was back to work in 8 or 9 weeks. Me, my first one I was off 12 weeks, the second 14 weeks. Getting done by end of Jan gives him a good 12 - 13 weeks, should be enough - fishing you are allowed to sit in a chair. If the schedule pushes him back in to Feb, then there may be some difficulty, but if he does as well as Don did, that should also leave enough time. Whaterver Ron, if the Doc says you need it - do it, then kick butt on the rehab - that's the hardest part (well after the first couple days after the surgery, that is).

i was out of work for 6 weeks. in physcal theraphy 3 1/2 months. did not really start to feel comfortable with them for six months. now i do anything i like. kneeling on them if called for. i would go with the surgery as soon as i could get it done. that way you will be laid up during cold months and by march you will be moving around when it starts to warm up, going on my 9th month just feeling safe enough to go out on boat alone. and be steady on my feet. i have falling several times and land on both knees scared the holy sh88t out of me. did nothing to harm them but always fell on soft ground never anything hard i had them done in feb was stll in rehab and not feeling mobile enough to fish dale with you all. soory woodfy did not mean to steal thread. just figured best time to tell ron

Good luck, Ron. My parents have had a total of 3 hips done between them, similar situation. I hope you recover quickly.

Hey Ron, keep us informed on your decision.

In my opinion.. now's the time to get it taken care of, so that you can look forward to having, "no more knee pain."

We will be there. No knee replacements for now. Too many lbs on my arse, gotta lose some weight 1st. Getting a series of shots that will help for a year or so. SO LOOK OUT DALE HOLLOW.

Synvisc shots? Series of 3 shots? It that's what you're trying, I hope they work for you. Good luck, especailly with the weight loss - that's never fun.

They posted it on the website with very little notice before the "one day only" rates.
