Welcome to the forum!

Take your pick-different baits work at different times. Lately I've caught most on Tiki Sticks, Yum Dingers and Bandit 100 series crankbaits.

Everybody has his own BEST . For me, Yum dinger and X-rap work well most times.

Welcome aboard bud. As far as the best for me it would have to be the PNJ (also a good friend) and some type of plastic.

Depends on what type of bite I'm after. I recently discovered a new design for a jerk minnow that uses a Mann's Shadow fused to a Slugo tail:
For some reason it's been a hot lure the last three times I've been out.

Another jerk worm I use is a handpoured stick with a tapered tail which has worked since the day I first poured it:

I don't know of anything more exciting than the shallow water bite.

Thats a pretty broad question, because my favorite may not be Rebs favorite, which may not be your favorite, etc.
My favorite is whatever the fish want at any given time.
The best bait in my box however, is Carolina Chips Avenger crankbait.

Bandit 100 series crankbaits are my favorites...That is because I am to impatient for most other stlyes of bait.

3.5" Gitzit tube in chatreuse with black flakes....been using them for smallmouth and getting great success
Hula popper in a frog color works best for me fishing topwaters.

I'm still experimenting myself. Check back with me in about 60 years or so. I might have figured it out by then, but doubtful LOL.

Ask 10 different people and get 10 different answers. Whatever is working that day for sure, but I have always had pretty good luck with white flukes, Bass Assasin in particular. Last weekend my brother was catching them on a popper and I was not having much luck, I switched over and caught several bass.

I prefer topwater myself, though I caught my biggest bass this year on a suspending rapala, but everyone has they're own thing I guess... Black Jitterbug is on the top of my list though, that and 8" zoom purple worms texas rigged
