Default people problem

I am fishing a family pond this weekend for fathers day. Its not very big and there will be a lot of people. Any tips on baits or techniques that might help me get attention of the fish to me. The pond is dark water with a weed line from zero to three feet of water. There are also alot of small trees at the waters edge. Any help is appreciated.

My only suggestion since I don't know the water, is to try to distance yourself from others if possible. Two reasons, 1. Less commotion to scare/startle the fish, 2. Usually you'll get into places others won't, so hopefully some fish others miss along with that. Hope you catch a Hawg on fathers day if'n your a dad. If not, let dad catch it.

I find myself in this same situation all the time. All u can do on a small pond is be the first one there and try to get the best spot or area.

If ur crazy i suppose u could strip naked or just wear underwear everyone should stay away

Most of the people fishing will be using spinnerbaits and soft plastics. You cant fish crankbaits here. What is a good bait that gets attention when in heavy fishing pressure? Do you think a jig or a chatterbait might work?

When you are wondering if something will work or not there is only one way to find out .

How come you can't fish crankbaits?

Probably can't use the cranks due to the weeds??? My suggestion would be to try a 5 inch tiki stick on the fly and my personal favorite a texas rigged creature bait - small in size with a 1/0 hook, and a 1/4 ounce bullet weight. You have several options though, including Mann's Baby -1 or spinner bait, and depending on when your going to be fishin, you might even try some top water lures too???

I do most of my fishing on ponds. I would try to find a spot on the bank where the grass has grown up tall. If the water/weeds are good for spawning u can bet there was or maybe is bass near there. Iv been watching and studing what they do. They like the tall grass next to the bank. It makes them shade if its long enough they can eat bugs off it. Id say ur best bet is to use texas rig a 7" worm with a flat tail. Sorry dont know what is called but i hope that helps. This is what seems to work best for me. Good luck

Try a topwater chugg style bait i.e. Pop-r.
Try a weightless Senko. It falls slowly.
If you wish try a twitch bait, it runs shallow. Just slow down on you twitches.
Most cranks will go too fast for fish to react to them.
With alot of people these may be your best bets.
These are the methods that I would use starting with #1, then #2.

rig a Zoom Trick worm weightless and weedless and go find a spot with a ton of weeds. Let the worm fall into holes in the weeds and then twitch it a couple times then reel it back in.
