Default Ideal Shakey head worm

what do you guy's believe to be the best shakey head worm,I have read that some use senkos and zoom trick worms.I do not like these chooses though because I would like the worm to stand more vertical when on the bottom. The best worm I have found so far is a roboworm strait tail.I have been using the bite-me jig head for this,Thx......

Rebbasser,do the trick worms float for you though?Or does this not matter as much as I think that it would? Also do you use more natural looking colors apposed to the brighter color you would use when twitching the worm? Thx....

I got a issue with shakey head jigheads. I would use a Al's worm brand AW4 worm. Its a 4" worm with a paddle tail that floats upward.I don't need no stinking overpriced roundball leadhead named shakey head for them to work. Welcome by the way. P N J http://www.alsworms.com/index.php

Not as much as I'd like, but they do work. I use more natural colors-watermelon, watermelon seed, etc. I use the brighter colors for a floating worm rig-white, bubblegum, merthiolate, etc.

Ok,just one more thing on the trick worms, are you guys using the whole worm or sniping some off. My only concern would be the hook up ratio with the longer worm. yesterday I was using the finesse zoom worm in my tourny for this reason.

I usually shorten it by a 1/2 inch or so so it goes on the jighead better.

EHHH Sinsai I see that you have found the great world of the bayououtdoors company called v&m. They do have some great stuff. I am using there 12" worms on a local lake and really mopping up on them thar basses. As far as the shakey worm I too like the pork nail and sometimes like the good ole original. CREME

I'd tend to think that in mid summer that paddle tail worm would come in to play. You really need several style worms for any worming throughout the season, sometimes they want the ribbon tail, sometimes they want hardly any action at all

One worm I have had a lot of luck with recently is the Manns hardnose finesse worm, 5" in pumpkin (not green pump.). The hard nose makes these easier to put on, and stay on, the jig head, and they seem to have pretty good action.

Can someone explain to me why you wouldn't use a Zoom finesse worm instead of a trick worm ? They are basically the same exact worm, except the finesse is alot shorter.

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here. I would think it all depends on ones preference and what they are calling fineese. To me fineese, actually has 2 meanings. One being a presentation that is quite,a stealthy approach so to speak much like when you are sight fishing or fishing in very thin water unlike when you are siiting in 10ft of water throwing 3/4oz cranks and having a good time with your buddy. The other meaning would be scaling down your baits, going to skinny line. The trick worm in my opinion is a regular size worm that lends itself to a standard presentation. The zoom finesse worm is a better worm for the "finesse style of fishing" Just my .02 worth.

A nice quite subtle performance of the presentation of the cast to the target is what I call finesse fishing. Something I once had, but lost it when I got into carp fishen and catfish noodlin. Now it is splish splash gotcha sucka.

I've got no canine in this brawl, but...
The ZOOM Finesse is good enough for me in most instances, considering how seldom I'm a shaker. However (comma) if one wishes one's worm (careful!) to be more erectile when at rest (talk about oxymoronisms) then why not use all or part of the Strike King 3X Floating worm? Since the Cyber-Flexx(TM) material floats well the worm will assume a ./ (.=jighead, /=worm) position rather than a .__ one.
Caution: The anything-but-up-to-date Strike King on-line 'log does mention new non-floating #X stuff as well. Choose wisely.

I bite the head off, add a touch of Pros glue and bam! I don't like the Zoom trick worms either. I've had most of my luck with the 3X worms and Gamblers trick worms (mmmmmm watermelon candy).
