Wacky rig:

Weedless rig:

Except I keep the point of the hook buried in the plastic rather than "Texposed" like this picture shows.

just add a light bullet sinker before you tie the hook on the line and you have a texas rig .it is very versitile, you can fish different dephs by changing the bullet weight size, bigger for heavy wind/deeper water and lighter for shallow water. you can also put a heavy sinker(about 1/2 an ounce)up the line about 18'' or so and then peg it by jamming a toothpick in the bullet sinker hole and then tie your hook on a texas rig the bait( same as weedless rigging in rebbasser's post) hope this helps!

i rig almost all my plastic like reb's post.
Tiki Sticks are rigged like the first picture
Tubes, Power Worms, Creature baits etc are rigged like the second one but i put a bullet sinker, unpegged before the hook.

My favorite bait when fishing gets tough has always been the Rapala ShadRap crankbait. For some reason it just works a little better than my norman crankbaits and I think it is because of the tighter wobble. Plus the kind I use doesn't have rattles, which could be the determining factor. I think too many people use rattles today and not using them may help.

Treehugger8, slowly. I usually let the tiki stick sink to the bottom which can take several seconds depending on the depth. Then, I twitch it moving it only a couple of feet at most. Reel up slack. Pause for a couple of seconds. Then, repeat. This is the basic retrieve. As usual, fish near specific structure and cover.
