I use 4 lb braid for plastics like when I T-Rig a worm lizard and just float it.
I use 10 LB mono or braid (what ever I have loaded) for everything else.

With the lighter line I tend to keep a good eye on my drag settings.

50lb Powerpro or 20lb Fireline. Take your pick LOL. Usually Fireline on spinning outfits, and Powerpro on Baitcasting equipment.

Crankbaits, 10 lb flouro. Stren.
Worms, 17 lb flouro. Stren
Jigs, 20 lb flouro. Stren
Spinnerbaits, 14 lb. co-polimer Suffix
Top water, 14 lb co-polimer Suffix.
Twitch baits, 12 lb Stren flouro.
Lipless crankbaits, 14 co-polimer, Suffix.
Anything over 10 when using lipped crankbaits will hinder the depth of the bait.
