I really liked the Ande Back Country line. It was designed as a saltwater flats line, but it works great for bassin'.I bought a 1lb spool of 14 lb test and I don't recommend buying that much unless your going to rig up alot of rod combos and change line alot. I see Ande came out with a braided line.I am going to try it before the summer is through. P N J

yep belive in it you bet.. i normally use 8,12 pound test for bass. mostly 12 pound test us it for every thing. color wise i use pink, back country, clear, igfa green, envy green.. i use the envy green for a lot of t-riggin. it is like hi-viz line. pink, back country, and igfa are nearly invisable in clear water...
1 thing never buy it in 1/4 pound spools always 1/2 pound spools ande line in the small spools tends to be the older stuff-think dry rot- 1/2 pound spools are 14.99 at bps salt
water secton..

am with pnj on the ande braid..

PnJ
thanks for the info, will look for the braid
Are you anywhere near Schoone Lake?
I almost bought a fishing camp there years ago
Have not been there in years just wondering how the fishing was?
Smallies were the big thing back then.

Thanks Zooker,
I think you answered my question. I put some on my Penn Slammer this past season 10 pound. It didn’t feel right but used it anyway. Just was not comfortable with it. Had to ¼ pound spool because it was the only size we had. Does it come in smaller spool size? 2 or 3 hundred yards? I sell a lot of it for saltwater. 30 40 pounds etc.

HuckFinn, I believe Schoon lake is up by Cobleskill.Thats about 3 hours from me if I am correct. I have a cousin who lives in Schenectady, so I have been by, or seen signs for it, can't remember exactly where though.Zooker you got any idea ?I didn't see the lake on the atlas as I thought, but there is a Schoharie reservoir below the area I was thinking it was in.I was thinking it was by Howes caverns ? Does that ring a bell ? P N J

Love the stuff in saltwater!! Never though of using it in fresh. I like that the diameter is always smaller than any other mono of the pound test.

the fishability is sometimes good but not realiable it also breaks very easy with a big fish
