I've been using the power pro 40 and 50 lb test after hearing the reviews here, my only hangup about it is that it digs in the spool about once a hour, other than that I like it for strength and sensitivity

PowerPro here, too. I like 50 lb since it has the diameter of 12 lb mono.

been using the same spool of PP for 1.5 years now, love it, use 20lbs test on spinning.

See i normaly use 10 lb fireline and it works for a few days then is crap. If u get a really bad backlash sometimes it just breaks the line. I tried it in like 20 and it was so thick and hard to cast. I found that pp the other day and put it on my diawa team viento or w/e and even being 30 it casts good. Is 30 enough or should i maybe go higher to 50? im just worried about loosing casting ability?

Power Pro hands down. I use 50lb PP when throwing anything but plastics of ONJ's. When throwing them I use 65lb. I gurantee you that I can get your truck unstuck or pull your boat into the jungle using this stuff.

I've used it as a tow strap a few times.

The more you use Fireline the more the wax coating comes off, and it becomes more flexible(same with Powerpro). It's also funny that 20lb Fireline, which has the diameter of 8lb test is way to thick and unmangeble . I have no quams with anyone not liking something, but your post isn't adding up to me. Sounds like you weren't used to it, and therefor don't like it. Powerpro is my choice for Braid also. But Fireline 10lb test is like 2lb mono diameter. So if you wanna use Ultralite stuff, then you'll lose a lot of Bass
