Default Used tracker boat & motor

I am looking @ buying a used 1989 Bass Traker rounament TX 17.0 Ft Aluminum boat. It is well equiped with a 60 HP Tracker motor. Cranks and runs good. No visible rust on boat or trailer. New seats, carpet,& tires What kind of price should I be looking at?

Just as a general guide, I sold my 1975 nodel TX-17 in 1988 for $2500, in approximately the same shape as you are describing. A word of caution, do not plan to use the TX on large lakes, or else plan on getting wet as hell!

Thanks JackL

It really is a nice looking boat. I will be using on small lake in south west GA. I'm sure I will get wet some, but mostly Night fishing in calm water.

What do you think about the Tracker motor in general?

Default Tx-17

I split the hull on two of those bad boys under warranty. My suggestion is if buy it do not jump logs with it like I did.

It splits the hull after the fifth or sixth time. But on the bright side it never cost me a cent to fix and I got to fish backwaters other dare not go..

Oh and we caught fish too. Lots of them. It is a good starter boat to learn with. Take a boating coarse and follow common sense. And never do what I do.
