Tip On Cold Natured Mercury Motors
My 90hp Merc has always been a little hard to start after it cools down.
A couple of months ago, I was cranking on my motor next to a boat dock, when an old man told me to trim the motor down and it would start easier. He was right. I guess with the motor trimmed to where it is straight down, lets excess fuel drain out of the carbs. Has anyone out there ever heard of this? Dannie |

yep yamahas will NOT crank up unless the moter is nearly level in the water.. after it has warmer up tilting it way up it wont start either. it is basicly an idiot stop to keep you from running a moter out of the water..
