I vote for the Yamamoto 5" senko in color #214 if you can find it.There are times when a Zoom super fluke works well, I like bubblegum color, both the senko and super fluke are fished weightless on a 4/0 wide gap hook. When rigging texas rigged, I like tube baits, baby paca craws,4" paddletail worms,Reaction innovation brand smallie beaver baits,Gambler brand ugly otter( I like both sizes). One thing I like to do is match the lake bottom as much as possible, but when in doubt Green pumpkin works every where.

I think that the senko is the best soft plastic,but I use ribbontail worms alot also.

I'm getting a lot of senko lovers out there it looks. if not senko then senko like products. are they that much better?

the price is! a bag of tiki sticks cost like $3 and a bag of senkos are $5,plus the tiki sticks have scent on them. i just caught a 3.5lber yesterday on a tiki stick in watermelon/red,i will try to get some pics up soon.

OH MAN, I was hoping this thread would have a picture of the "BEST" soft plastic. After aton of fishing (and a ton of money) I still dont know what the best soft plastic is.

Yeah, but I thought this thread would show us "the best". I truly think there is no "best" anything. It all depends on your style, and the way you fish. As for soft pastics, I think the most versatile, consistently producing plastuc is the senko. I think the fluke is just as good, but not enough people fish it, or fish it right.

You hit the nail on the head - there is no best anything in fishing. I think the popularity of the senko has a lot to do with the results here, let the tour guys start spouting off about flukes, for instance, and the poll results will change

My confidence bait is a 4" Hula Grub by Chompers. Those are the most nasty, smelly, sticky soft baits I've ever used.

As DamPeoples posted along with others there is no "best" anything. It depends on conditions, the water you are fishing and many other variables. What is a favorite today will be in the bottom of your tackle box next year.

100% no doubt for me, grandads noodle, and not because I make them, but because they catch fish everytime out. and shallow applications, under docks, around weeds etc, is where they shine.

I like to throw a bit of everything, but when nothing else is working I can't help but stick on a senko, man do they catch fish, very versitile if you ask me

I have several plastics which I really like. But not one of them is a "favorite" simply because it just depends on so many conditions and the time of year. But in general, you can't beat salamanders types in the spring, senco styles in the summer and fall. Tubes in summer, and so forth. OMG!!! I love em all!!!! LOL
