try giving out some info, like where you are, how big of body of water, weather conditions etc....

the water is dark and not that deep it is on a rock island and there is a strong current...wa do you recommend

ur not fishin for lg mouth then more likely small mouth if that with the strong current ?? more info

not sure about your area, but if you're fishing around here, you usually have to cast over 10-50 feet of weeds just to get a lure to open water. Therefore you need a thick rod with strong line that you can cast far. Braid is perfect for this as the thin diameter lets you cast farther and low stretch and high strength will allow you to pull your lure through the thick weeds/brush.
