Bionic Fish Finder
Just saw this little device advertised and was curious.
I don't have a boat so I fish mostly from shore, etc. and was wondering if any of you folks out there have heard of this thing or mo' better ever used one. Also saw a similar product from Humminbird called Smart Cast. They are fairly inexpensive so I can imagine they don't do a whole lot but it might help see below the surface. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. |

http://www.asseenontvnetwork.com/bio...er/?cid=307357 I don't know if it's worth the money, but I would not mind getting one as a father's day present if you get my drift, or birthday present even/??? A little bit nicer unit, would be the Fish Finder on a stick....mmmm....let me run that one for you.... while I'm having a slow day here...hold.... Bottom Line is the main manufacturer I believe, you want a side finder, but here's a link to something similar, http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5280819 |

The Bionic Fish Finder looks so cheesy, did you notice how when it turned on it displays where all the fish blips would show, like old handheld football video games?
I didn't like the idea of the Humminbird one either. You cast it out and look at your watch or reel display, looks just as cheesy. I figure if I'm casting something out to find fish it should be a lure. Even if you just wanted to know depth or structure, you can do that with any crankbait or a Rapala Countdown.
