Lightbulb Reconnect Speedometer?

While installing a Lowrance Elite 5 DSI, I somehow messed up my boat's speedometer. I tried to pull the power off of the fuse panel that powers the speedometer rather than connecting directly to battery. I have since made that direct connection and have reconnected the speedometer's power. I noticed that the fuse had blown on the speedometer connection and replaced the fuse as well. I have a '96 17' Monarch boat and a '96 Mercury 60 HP ELPTO motor.

I don't really need the speedomoter since the Elite 5 has SOG, but it bugs me to not have it working when I imagine it is an easy fix. IDEAS?
