Default Largemouth Bass Extreme

In my humble opinion the best bass bait that can be used at anytime during the year is a simple and a common sense answer.

The crawfish is the natural food for the largemouth Bass. It is scientifically proven that this Bait will get hits more than any other out there. Sure worms may work, or you may find that topwaters or crankbaits are working for you, but nothing will beat the crawfish.

Now, the best bait is live bait.

So, we now have the common problem on how to hook a crawfish and keep him alive long enough to attract a Bass.

Most anglers that will use Live crawdads will try and either cut away part of the shell or hook straight into the tail. The problem with this is that you have now taken away the natural movement of the crawfish and lowered his life expectancy down there to a only few minutes.

Next time you want to use the best bait around, the live crawfish, try this technique on for size. Take a rubberband and use it to attach the hook instead of any penetration. You will have yourself a very active and long living crawfish. Well at least until Mr. Largemouth gets a grip on him.

Sincerely,
Michael Wagner
