I like fishing in rain. I caught my biggest LM in rain by using a red color spinnerbait with steady retrieve.
General speaking, rain means more oxygen in water. Fish, specially bass (high oxygen species) will love it. Therefore, rain usually brings a good fishing. IMO, THE BEST MOMENT IS WHEN RAIN JUST STOPS. I don't often change lures in rain. I like to use spinnerbait, buzzbait and crankbait with a steady retrieve. Enjoy rain. |

It's my favorite time to fish. I've had the best luck on jigs, spinnerbaits, and probably just about anything actually but those are my favorites.

I would target the bank more and worm fish it, I know once the rain has come and gone, its a good technique,
I used to hate to fish in the rain but this year in a light drizzle I have had great success catching them, course I got caught once in a big downpour cus I pressed my luck and stayed to long. LOL |

I love fishing in the rain, working flukes, up shallow, and plastic lizards weightless will wear them out. A buzzbait can be dynamite also. However a good Pop-R, Jitterbug or any type of slow or stop and go type bait can sometimes really catch a Hawg during this time. They will wait for the stuff to get knocked into the water, and wait for a easy meal. I don't really mind the rain too much at all. I've had a lot of success catching fish in it, and I have plenty of raingear, and clothes. It does get nasty at fast speeds in tourneys though Lizards

If it rains and you got water moving up and getting darker then it is okay but if you get rain moving up and you find clear water then you are going to load the boat in the spring. Flip some tubes and jigs around brush and throw a gold bladed spinnerbait
