Default Curado 50e

2012 reel purchased early this spring as a finesse reel but since have switched over to spinning reels instead and am no longer using it. It literally has been used about an hour so its still like new. No scratches, dings or issues. Comes with all original packaging including owners manual and registration card.

115.00 TYD

LOL Not a chance. Payment has been sent. I just missed one of these last week. A local freind of mine sold his for $100 to a tackle shop. His was also like new and he just didn't end up using it. He sold it with several others in a bulk sale. He didn't know it at the time, but several of his friends all said we would have jumped at it.

I know that this particular reel is sold. If I find one locally could I expect it to throw 1/16 baits on #8 test? Or is that asking too much from any baitcaster and my thumb. OP seems to prefer (be forced to?) spinning gear for that weight class. (Womens beach vollyball rules)

It's not going to throw 1/16 oz baits. Some people say they can do that with a Daiwa Pixy, but I'm not even convinced that would work. The E50 is basically just a slightly smaller version of the E 200 reels. The spool is a bit lighter, so it will throw lighter baits, but an 1/8 oz bait would be the lightest and thats still difficult. I use the E 50 for the same baits you would use a full size reel for. The main difference is line capacity and I don't need 150 yds for pitching.

Having the right rod is just as critical as the right reel for throwing really light baits. I have a Daiwa Sol and a Curado 50e, they will both handle baits lighter than a lot of other baitcasters but unless you have a rod that will load properly with light weights, the reel isn't going to matter much.
