I'm with zook, Paca Craw all the way, my most used are the baby paca craw in green pumpkin and Alabama craw, either t-rigged c-rigged or as a trailer on a similarly colored jig

Okay look, there's too many of you Bass Camps around. I propose a fish off to determine exactly WHO the undisputed Bass Champ is. 1 bass champ.... no more.

Fished both the Paca and the Chigger and I have to say they're about even for me. I used the paca craws mainly as jig trailers and I've had some great success with them. I've fished the Chiggers texas rigged and had some great success with them as well. Different applications for different craws.

haven't used the chigger craw yet, but i am falling in love with the paca crawto the point it's almost wierd. great bait and haven't had any problems with fish picking it up and then dropping it. they seem to flat out eat this thing. the only down side is that if you use a screw in weight, they aren't very durable but most tube baits are this way.

the only thing i dislike about the paca craw is that the fish steal the claws more often than i would like

ILfishinman,

If they steal just one claw, keep on fishing it. Berkley has done extensive research and has found fish prefer a wounded craw......the one soft plastic craw that got the most hits of all tested, was a craw without claws and without legs. I just got the book called "Knowing Bass" and there is a lot of information and research results packed into it. If you can get a hold of a copy, check out page 178. Good fishing, Mac

...Beaver....the paca crawls a pretty cool...caught a couple today on ones with claws...missing claws...one crawl....I like the zoom speed crawls too....apparently they came out with a speed crawl that has bigger claws on it...something to try........I use to like the mad man crawl worms...not the tube crawls but the crawl worms....they were very lifelike in the water.

zoom speed craws. the craws have a nice fleeing action on the topwater. It actually has a great action just about any way you rig it. Its a very versatile plastic that catches fish.

I like the Zoom speed craw I fish mine on 12pound Invis X with 1/4 oz Tru tungston weight un peged the weight will fall fast but the action of the leggs will make the bait fall slow fish eat them I have made good money on them try green pumpkin and green pumpkin blue

Just about every craw imitation out there will catch fish. However in stained water the Paca will out perform the others due to it's water movement IMO. In clear water, perhaps a Yum or other "MAY" work better, but that's a tough thing to guess at. I've caught bass with the Paca's in super clear water, and as already stated, the bass don't let go. I'm also unlike many, and always want both claws on. If I lose one, I put on a new bait. I've used almost all of them, and all do work. But the Paca continue's to be my go to craw imitation. I also use a WHOLE Baby Paca for my jig trailers, not the chunks.

Stren Potomac was won, Bobby Lane, with a Berkley Chigger Craw. Third place finisher, Jess Caraballo, used Baby Paca Craw as his primary bait but had the Chigger Craw rigged up as well. I caught fish on Baby Paca Craw and Zoom Super Hog. Joe Balog used a Zoom Super Speed Craw when I fished with him. Don't sleep on the Gambler BB Cricket too.
Basically pick a craw and a color, add a 3/4 oz weight or better, find some nasty looking grass bed, and flip or pitch.
