I think my dad would probably go with the campgrounds. Since It's gonna be cool outside, all we would need is to have few blankets and sleeping bags. Also a good sized tent. Anyone really know much about the campgrounds and how much they are? Probably not as much as the lodges right?
I will find out what it costs to camp.

I did hear that the daily use of a slip is $15.

Cool thanks woody!

But one more dumb question... what's a slip?

I'm planning on bringing my lovely bride this time.

I do regret not bringing her last time to share in all the fun we had together.

Arrow Camping

I just got off the phone with Nathan of Star Point Resort. And here is what he had to say about the Camping.

-$20 per night

-Each campsite has electric hookup

-Bathhouse on site

-Some sites have water hook-ups. (just ask)

-RV's are welcome

-Dump station on site

This link will provide you with a map of the resorthttp://www.starpointresort.com/Star%...rt%20Final.pdf

The campsites are located near the boat slips. And they are numbered 1 to 15.

The Pine Lodge is located on the east-side of the resort.

Yeah, I'm sure that would've gone over well when you needed a new TM.

"But honey, I really really do NEED a new one!!!"

Well, the remedy to that problem would have involved handing her the credit cards and the keys to the truck, while we were busy replacing the trolling motor.

Cool! Thanks for the info woody! But I can't tell how close they are to the lodges? I'd like to be pretty close to all the action! That's not to bad either, 60 bucks for all three days! And just to give my dad a little nudge, I think I'll pay for one day!

Ahhh, the tried and true "create a diversion" tactic.

Hey guys... I got some bad-ish news.

We may move to Alaska! My dad's on the phone right now doing an interview. He may or may not get it, so I don't really know yet. I'll let you know as soon as I heard word about if he does for does not get it. If he does get it, we probably won't go until next year summer (Alaska summer). But it still may throw the whole thing for a loop. It's not a big deal about $$ though, the collage will pay for the trip there (one pay check -- about 3,000 $). So it may even help with going, depending on how things go with when we move if we move. It may be our last bass fishing trip, or major one, before I'm stuck catching salmon and pike.

I'll let you know.....

Eek! hahaha!

Well my dad got an other call the from the college. They want him for an in-person interview 14th. It's gonna be ALL expenses payed, even gas from our hour to the air port! He'll be there 'till Friday. He also said that if they think that hirer him, well be on the road be Halloween this month! Our way for transport to move would be driving out truck there. It'll be a 4 day dive if it's a non stop thing, other than meals. But if it's a causal drive it'll take at least a week and a half! I'll keep in touch with Wi-Fi at the Motels we stay at if they got.... if we do move there at is.

Finally back on a pooter other than my wife's phone. I was hoping to attend, even got the misses permission. But if my schedule stays the same, I will be leaving for offshore April 27th. Maybe I can swap a week with some one out there and finally get to meet some of the guys.

I've been watching this thread, wishing and hoping and praying I'll be able to go. I still don't know if I can, but that's a long way out to plan for me.
Bubba, if it turns out that both of us can go, I say we carpool. I doubt the wife will want to take the baby, so I'll most likely be all by my lonesome. You'll have to come within 2 miles of my house headed up I-55, so we might as well take 1 vehicle instead of two. Something to think about...

Ok, maybe a change in plans. The wife has expressed interest in coming, so I might be taking her and the baby along for the ride. We'll just have to wait and see.

Tackle & and a pair of underwear for every other day (I can fit the drawers in my box). My tackle might squat the suspension, but it doesn't take up too much room. LOL And if no one will pick on me, I can always go commando.
