I Texas rig mine with Gamakatsu 5/0 worm or EWG hook.

I like Owner Oversize Worm Hooks, they work real good for big worms. But a lot of people think they're to big. Other wise any wide gap 5/0 hook works great! Most of the time I'll t-rig them and drag them on the bottom almost like a c-rig. 1/4oz for < 5 feet. 3/8oz > 5 feet. Also if I'm fishing thick vegetation, I'll use a 1/16oz weight and slowly swim them though the stuff, and when I ever I get caught up a little bit in it I'll rip it free. This works well with all size worm too.

I have thrown them on both a t-rig and a c-rig. I like the c-rig for working offshore structure and long points in deep water (15+ feet), but will go with the t-rig pegged for shallow or close in work for the ease of use and more manageable casting.

You can do both, but for weightless, use a bigger hook (more weight). I'll also use the weight less worms in really thick cover (unless the above tactic does not work), they tend to go through weeds better. But if you're fishing the edges of weeds (or anything other than weeds real), than t-rigged with a weight Ill be your best bet.
