Default Trolling Motor Cable

The cable broke to my trolling motor. It is a Johnson about a 1988 model. Does anyone know a source to get a new one?

If you mean the lift cable, try one of these. I put one on mine after I broke the rope. You won't break this one, it's steel cable.

Go to a local hardware store and see if they have a pull start rope for a push lawnmower. That works just fine for me.

If it is the pull rope like Bruce linked I have seen a piece of dog choker chain used. Take about 6 inches of chain, attach it to the TM and tie the rope to the other end of the chain. Costs about $2
