We hope to vacation next Summer. I told them we need to go down South and Bass Fish. I'll see if we can meet up for a day or two...

Lunker asked
"Are you using a slip bobber on the Float-N-Fly, Fish2win?"

No slip floats wont work, Take your reel line and tie to a 3 way swivel. Tie a length of 4 lb test ( this is your down line. The length should be the depth you want to fish)to the swivel. Then attach the float to the third ring on the swivel. Dont us to big of a float. You need 4 lb test because the duck feather flys that only weigh 1/32 or 1/16 wont sink other wise. You also need a real limber rod and a reel that will wind backwards. This is for casting and playing heavy fish on 4 lb test.
There is an exact method to casting this outfit when you have a 15 to 20 foot leader and an 8 1/2 foot rod. Let you line out in frount then gather the slack as you pull back to cast(like flipping) Pull back and wait for the fly to go all the way behind until it hits the water. Then pull forward casting normally.Good Luck Fish2win
