Default How many hooks/lures allowed?

Searching through some old posts i read about someone tying on 2 flukes to create a schooling effect.
Is this allowed?
How many hooks/lures are allowed?
For tying 2 flukes can I just use a 3way swivel with different length lines or is there a better way?

I've never done it, but I know other folks do. You could use a 3-way swivel, but what I would probably do is tie a drop shot-type rig using a second hook and fluke instead of a weight or tie a second hook to the first one to trail behind. If you are not familiar with a drop shot:

TINUSP,

You do not need a three way swivel. Jist use a small barrel or ball bearing swivel and tie both lines to the same loop, leaving one line about 24 inches and the other about 6 inches to a foot longer. Cast the rig out and use a jerk/pause retrieve, which will cause the lures to dart like a couple minnows or shad feeding.

Check your local regulations. In New York, you can operate a maximum of two lines, with a maximum of five lures/baits on each line, with each line limited to a maximum of 15 hook points in any combination of single, double or treble hooks.

Tinusp,

For rigging take JackL and Reb's advice. Â*I've never done it before. Â*As far as how many hooks you are allowed to have check with your State DNR. Â*I know here in Indiana they limit you on the number of hooks you are allowed to have for certain types of fish. Â*I don't think they limit it on bass but some other species they do.

Whoops, Marty beat me to the punch.

Wow, those must be something to behold. I'd love to have a peek. Don't go to any trouble, but I'd love to have a look at those monstrosities. If they're on the 'net, do you have a link?

thats why you take a (%&$ picture of it. why would anyone think to scan a musky lure instead of doing something 100 times easier

Maybe the guy's got a scanner and no camera. (why wouldn't someone think that the reason could be so obvious?)

I believe you are allowed to use two seperate hooks tied to your line but Im not sure what the rules is on hooks fitted with lures.

basicly with you being in SA I don't recon anyone is going to have problems with that.
