Weightless and C-rig are the ways I mainly fish them.

Did you see the April/May 2007 In-Fisherman Magazine??? There is a big article in there about the history of fluke-type baits and many different ways to fish them. One of the ways they suggested was to rig it with a jighead, one with a longer shank than the panfish models. I have tried that before and it really helps if the fish don't want to come all the way to the surface to grab the lure or if they want a faster presentation of the fluke a little farther down in the water column.

I still will use a pegged bullet weight occasionally when fishing them, to get them deeper. Or if I really feel like I want it to be perfect, a insert weight. I really love fishing them at the top, and the ferocious strikes you get are just too dammmmm fun.
