Any Morel Mushroom Hunters ?

Well we are a week from the mushrooms here in Ohio.
We have been hiking for a week now, still early but due to find blacks and some greys for the next week or so before the yellow sponge pop up..anyone else hunt shrooms?

I like to eat them, but I prefer to have other people hunt them for me ;D

what gun do you use to hunt mushrooms : what do you do, find the mushrooms and eat them? i dont really like shrooms. never have.

I have never had a nack for finding them. I have looked for them before, but never am able to spot them. I grew up with a friend that could spot them from a mile away. They do taste pretty good though when fried up.

look at the bottom of the head if it is pink it is ok to eat if any color other wise don't eat it.

OK, first we had a thread degenerate into an AA meeting: and I am partly to blame for that...

Then we had the 4/20 thread, well I will also admit to contributing to that thread, although I stick to my story that I really don't do that stuff, I just was hanging out and some friends wanted to - thats cool I'm not one to judge.

Now however, we're talking about mushrooms? Even if we are talking about the ones you put on a pizza, you are asking for trouble with this bunch...

I guess I should start up the next thread - maybe it can be about gasoline or white-out or mixing acetone with other household chemicals.

I think this forum needs group counseling. ???

wtl, the 4/20 post was suposed to be serious and not about doing it. altho it turned into being funny :-/ but i do think this group needs some counseling ;D fatdirty, i think you need some help, and might want to stay away from them shrooms.

WTL,you started with the white out..so i'll continue..
i always keep a small bottle in the boat.i'll use it to put eyes on my bullet weights.not sure if it makes a difference,but when i'm desperate i'll try anything.

When I lived in Ohio I used to go shroom hunting I don't know if they grow here in Utah. I used to find a lot of the mushrooms. I lived in New London Ohio.
