Default My homemade fishing scent has aged - I'd recommend this recipe to all!

Ok, back when I was Lone_Archer, I posted a recipe for an easy to make garlic scented recipe for soft plastics.

Simply load up a sizeable spray bottle with some vegetable oil, some diced garlic, and add some salt. Shake it up really well, and then allow the bottle to sit in the hot sun (in a place where animals can't get it).

I now keep it in the canoe, and keep it outside year round. After 3 years, I still have half a bottle, and discovered that over time, the scent strengthens as it ages. It's durable and lasts awhile, and also makes the lures very slick.

It's especially good when running plastic worms and stickbaits through weeds. I put them on my Zoom worms and Slug-gos (what else? ) and my catch rates go up.

It's a lot better than the stuff they have at the store, easy to make, and if you make a lot at once, it will age over time as it sits in the sun.

Maybe I should start a home-business.
